Served in the Polish Army and fought against the Germans. Taken as a POW and sent to work in a factory. November 1939 escapes and returns home. Late April 1941 his family arrested by the Gestapo, which threatened to kill them if he didn’t hand himself in. 24 April 1941 handed himself to the Gestapo and sent to Auschwitz. 10 March 1943 transferred to Neuengamme. December 1943 transferred to a factory in Hannover-Stöcken. 06 April 1945 Evacuated from Hannover-Stöcken. 07 or 08 April 1945 arrived at Bergen-Belsen. Arrested 30 June 1945 at Bergen-Belsen barracks. 17 September 1945. Stands trial at the 'Trial of Josef Kramer and Forty Four others' at 30 Lindenstraße, Lüneburg.
