Former AFPU sergeant George Laws photographed by WO Giles Penfound, Chief Photographer of the successor to the AFPU, the Royal Logistics Corps Media Operations Unit, for a project to mark the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Mr Laws, one of the AFPU camermen who landed with the first wave on D Day in 1944, is shown holding an enlargement of one of his D Day photographs which was reproduced on a commemorative Royal Mail stamp for the 40th anniversary of D-Day in 1994.
